Keep Things Simplified

Apr 26, 2017

With the popularity of minimalism rising, it should be no surprise that simplicity sells...

A new study found that a majority of people would be more likely to purchase a life insurance policy if the underwriting process is simple (i.e. no medical exam or blood tests required). LIMRA and Life Happens worked together to survey 2,031 U.S. adults. When asked about purchasing insurance, 70% of the respondents said they would prefer a product that did not require a blood test or medical exam.

These findings align with retail markets across industries. We’re living in the days where people can order groceries to their door through an app. Consumers expect an Amazon.com-like experience for all of their purchases. To take advantage of this growing trend, insurance companies and producers can highlight non-med and/or simplified issue products to their clients.
