Contracting with a lender to pay one's life insurance premiums on his/her behalf is called Premium Financing. It may not be an option your clients have ever considered but could be of great advantage to them in the right circumstances.

 

Premium Financing is as simple as it sounds.   When a large premium case is put in force, the client has the option of taking out a loan to cover the annual premium amount.   This leaves the client with an annual interest payment that is a fraction of the life premium, thus keeping the cash in the estate and not reducing it dramatically to cover the cost of the policy.  

 

Premium Financing is more commonly used for wealthy seniors protecting estates from taxes and other losses that can occur at the time of death.   Its important to understand when and where Premium Financing can play a roll in helping you get a large premium case paid.
